The Detroit Tigers and the Los Angeles Angels both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Detroit Tigers that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 4-1 win at Los Angelis.

The Los Angeles Angels got 14 hits compared with just 11 for the Detroit Tigers, but the Los Angeles Angels stranded 11 on base.

The Detroit Tigers were led by Miguel Cabrera's hitting. Miguel Cabrera went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the first inning and singled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Anibal Sanchez recorded the win for the Detroit Tigers. He allowed one run over seven innings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered 12 hits.

The lead stayed with the Detroit Tigers after the first, when they scored one run on a solo home run by Miguel Cabrera.

The Detroit Tigers piled on two more runs in the top of the sixth. A ground out scored Miguel Cabrera to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Jhonny Peralta's single, plating Prince Fielder.

The seventh inning saw the Los Angeles Angels score their only run on the day on an error.

The Detroit Tigers won the hit battle 14-7 on Sunday, but couldn't push enough runs across to get the win, instead losing 4-3 to the Los Angeles Angels at Los Angeles.

The Detroit Tigers were led by Austin Jackson's hitting. Jackson went 4-5 and scored one run. He singled in the first, second, fifth, and ninth innings.

Drew Smyly put together a nice outing. The Los Angeles Angels managed just two hits off of the the Detroit Tigers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his four innings of work.

The Los Angeles Angels were sparked by PlayerC and PlayerD, who teamed up for two hits and four RBIs.

The Detroit Tigers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second. The Detroit Tigers got things going when Andy Dirks singled. A groundout by Jhonny Peralta then moved Dirks from first to second. Alex Avila singled, bringing home Dirks.

The game's last lead went to the Los Angeles Angels thanks to a third inning rally that saw four runs cross the plate on two three-run blasts.

Two runs in the top of the fifth helped the Detroit Tigers close their deficit to 4-3. An RBI single by Miguel Cabrera and an RBI single by Victor Martinez fueled the Detroit Tigers' comeback. Dirks to end the Detroit Tigers threat.

The Detroit Tigers' lone run of the ballgame came in the fourth inning on a solo home run by Miguel Cabrera.

Miguel Cabrera did his best to will the Detroit Tigers to a win with a two-hit game, but the Detroit Tigers dropped a 10-2 contest to the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday at Detroit, MI.

Miguel Cabrera did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Detroit Tigers, reaching base three times. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Phil Coke pitched lights out for the Detroit Tigers. Coke gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Home runs for the Kansas City Royals came when Moustakas homered in the first inning and Butler homered in the fifth and seventh innings.

Alex G, Escobar, Butler and Moustakas helped lead the Kansas City Royals. They combined for 13 hits and nine RBIs.

The Kansas City Royals went up for good in the first, scoring three runs on an RBI double by Butler and a two-run home run by Moustakas.

One run in the bottom of the sixth helped the Detroit Tigers close their deficit to 6-1. An RBI single by Victor Martinez sparked the Detroit Tigers' rally.

One run in the bottom of the eighth helped the Detroit Tigers close their deficit to 10-2. An RBI single by Prince Fielder gave the Detroit Tigers life. Davis ended the inning by getting Andy Dirks to strikeout.

Verlander struck out 10, paving the way for a the Detroit Tigers win. The Detroit Tigers' pitcher gave up just four hits over eight shutout innings.

Miguel Cabrera got a hit in each of his five at bats. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth, fifth, seventh, and ninth innings.

The Detroit Tigers never surrendered the lead after the fourth inning, scoring one run on a sacrifice fly by Jhonny Peralta.

The Detroit Tigers jumped out to an early lead on the Minnesota Twins and captured a 10-4 victory on Wednesday at Minneapolis, MN.

With six runs in the first three innings, the Detroit Tigers left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A two-run home run by Prince Fielder during the first inning supplied the early offense for the Detroit Tigers. The Detroit Tigers hit four home runs in the win. Additional home runs for the Detroit Tigers came when Torii Hunter homered in the third inning, Miguel Cabrera homered in the third inning, and Victor Martinez homered in the fifth inning.

Miguel Cabrera had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the first inning, homered in the third inning, and singled in the fifth and sixth innings.

Anibal Sanchez got the win for the Detroit Tigers. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out five, walked one and surrendered six hits.

Miguel Cabrera, Fielder, Hunter and Martinez helped lead the Detroit Tigers. They combined for nine hits and eight RBIs.

Hunter homered, part of a four-run third inning for the Detroit Tigers.

The Detroit Tigers outlasted the New York Yankees on Friday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 5-3 win at Detroit, MI.

The Detroit Tigers finally managed to grab the lead after a strong eighth inning. A sacrifice fly by Alex Avila scored Victor Martinez and gave the Detroit Tigers the lead for good.

Prince Fielder racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Detroit Tigers. He singled in the first and third innings and homered in the eighth inning.

Doug Fister was a workhorse on the bump for the Detroit Tigers. Fister pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and no walks while striking out five.

Phil Coke got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over 1 1/3 innings. Coke struck out three, walked none and gave up three hits.

The top of the first saw the New York Yankees take an early lead, 1-0. PlayerA doubled to start things off before PlayerB singled, plating PlayerA.

The Detroit Tigers answered the New York Yankees' top inning with one run of their own in the first. The Detroit Tigers scored on an RBI single by Fielder.

Austin Jackson pushed the Detroit Tigers ahead, in the seventh inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. Jhonny Peralta singled to get on base in the seventh. He then went from first to second on a single by Omar Infante.

The Detroit Tigers were led by Infante's hitting. Infante went 2-2 and scored two runs. He singled in the third and seventh innings.

The Detroit Tigers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third. The Detroit Tigers got things going when Infante singled. A single by Jackson then moved Infante from first to second. Miguel Cabrera singled, scoring Infante.

The New York Yankees managed to score one run in the fourth inning on an RBI single by PlayerE.

The game was never in doubt after the second, as the Kansas City Royals scored three runs on a fielder's choice and a two-run single by Francor.

The Kansas City Royals scored one run in the third inning, and then followed it up with one more in the seventh. In the third, the Kansas City Royals scored on a solo home run by Butler.

The Minnesota Twins were sparked by PlayerG and PlayerH, who teamed up for seven hits and five RBIs.

The Minnesota Twins never trailed after scoring one run in the first on an RBI single by PlayerD.

The Minnesota Twins increased their lead with four runs in the fourth. The inning got off to a hot start when PlayerH doubled, plating PlayerD. That was followed up by PlayerI's double, scoring PlayerG and PlayerH.

A one-run fifth inning helped bring the Detroit Tigers within four. An RBI single by Austin Jackson gave the Detroit Tigers life. Torii Hunter struck out to end the Detroit Tigers threat.

The Detroit Tigers' Verlander kept the Minnesota Twins off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up eight.

Victor Martinez was hot from the plate for the Detroit Tigers. Martinez went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the fourth inning and singled in the first and eighth innings.

The Detroit Tigers stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring two runs on an RBI double by Prince Fielder and an RBI single by Martinez.

The Detroit Tigers scored one run in each of the third, fourth and eighth. In the third, the Detroit Tigers scored on an RBI double by Torii Hunter, scoring Omar Infante.
